Clarience Technologies of Southfield provides support for emergency response in states hit by tornadoes
Clarience Technologies of Southfield launched a fundraising initiative to support emergency response efforts to the communities hit by tornadoes across six states, Dec. 10.
As reports of the devastation caused by the tornadoes began to emerge, Clarience Technologies CEO Brian Kupchella realized the severity of the natural disaster.
“With every news report, the world learned of another devastated community experiencing its darkest hour,” said Kupchella. “Many of our companies operate in towns across the country that are similar to those communities affected. I couldn’t stop thinking ‘this could have been us’ and knew we needed to help.”
The company launched the fundraising campaign, Hope Shines Bright, and pledged $50,000 to support response efforts through a combination of corporate and employeematched donations, according to a press release.
“The holiday season is a time many are inspired to give back and we believe there’s no more important time than now,” Kupchella said. “While we recognize things will never be the same after a tragedy like this, we’re hopeful our efforts act as a source of light through the darkness.”
Hope Shines Bright includes an online giving center, powered by Direct Relief, a global humanitarian aid organization.
Clarience Technologies invites the community to help provide support, by visiting the online giving center at www.directrelief.org/clarience to make a donation.
Clarience Technologies, formerly Truck-Lite Holdings, is a provider of advanced LED lighting technology and vehicle safety systems, serving 68 countries. The company moved its headquarters from New York to Southfield in 2020.
