Pontiac nonprofit, Grace Centers of Hope received a $5,000 donation from Meijer team members at the Rochester Hills S. Adams Road store as part of the Meijer Team Gives fall donation program, according to a press release.

The store also donated $5,000 to Hope Hospitality and Warming Centers.

The Meijer Team Gives program donated nearly $3 million to hundreds of organizations in the communities where Meijer operates, in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin.

The donation to Grace Centers of Hope will be used to continue providing a comprehensive range of programs and services to help individuals and families overcome issues of homelessness, addiction, neglect, and poverty.

Prior to the donation event, Meijer team members formed a committee at each store and distribution facility to nominate up to two local nonprofits for consideration of a fall donation. Each store and distribution facility chose to award one local nonprofit $10,000 or two nonprofits $5,000 each, according to a press release.
