The following list includes movies available at local theaters, and movies that are available to watch through online streaming and video on demand services including: Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, Hulu, Vudu, FandangoNo­w, Apple TV+, YouTube, Disney+, HBO Max and more.

SHOWING AT THEATERS

• “Lightyear” (PG): Animated sci-fi action-adventure and definitive origin story of Buzz Lightyear of “Toy Story”. Starring Chris Evans, Uzo Aduba, James Brolin and Mary McDonald-Lewis. Disney and Pixar production, in theaters on June 17.

• “Brian and Charles” (PG): Brian, a lonely inventor in rural Wales, uses a washing machine and various spare parts to invent Charles, an artificial­ly intelligen­t robot. Starring David Earl, Chris Hayward and Louise Brealey. In select theaters, June 17.

• “Jurassic World Dominion” (PG-13): In the conclusion to the Jurassic era, two generation­s unite for the first time, four years after Isla Nublar has been destroyed. Dinosaurs now liveand hunt-alongside humans all over the world. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine whether humans remain at the top of the food chain. Starring Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill.

• “Crimes of the Future” (R): Sci-fi drama centered on the human species adapting to a synthetic environmen­t. Saul Tenser (Viggo Mortensen), a celebrity performanc­e artist, with his partner Caprice (Léa Seydoux), publicly showcase the metamorpho­sis of his organs in avant-garde performanc­es. Timlin (Kristen Stewart), an investigat­or from the National Organ Registry, tracks their movements.

• “Watcher” (R): As a serial killer stalks the city, a young actress who just moved to town with her boyfriend notices a mysterious stranger watching her from across the street. Starring Maika Monroe, Burn Gorman, Karl Glusman and Madalina Anea.

• “Top Gun-Maverick” (PG13): After more than 30years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, (Tom Cruise), is tasked with training a detachment of Top

Gun graduates for a dangerous mission. Maverick must confront the ghosts of his past and his deepest fears. He encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), the son of Maverick’s late friend, Radar Intercept Officer Lt. Nick Bradshaw, aka “Goose” from the original “Top Gun” movie. Also starring Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly and Jon Hamm.

• “The Bob’s Burgers Movie” (PG-13): Animated, musical comedy-mystery-adventure based on the long-running series. The story begins when a ruptured water main creates a sinkhole in front of Bob’s Burgers, blocking the entrance indefinite­ly. Directed by Bernard Derriman.

• “Downton Abbey-A New

Era” (PG): From award-winning creator Julian Fellowes comes a new Downton Abbey film with the cast traveling to the South of France to uncover the mystery of the Dowager Countess’ newly inherited villa. Starring Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael,

Jim Carter, Raquel Cassidy and Michelle Dockery.

• “Men” (R): After a personal tragedy, Harper, (Jessie Buckley), retreats alone to the English countrysid­e, in hopes to heal. However, someone or something from the surroundin­g woods appears to be stalking her. Also starring Rory Kinnear, Paapa Essiedu and Gayle Rankin.

• “Firestarte­r” (R): New adaptation of Stephen King’s classic thriller, a girl with extraordin­ary pyrokineti­c powers fights to protect her family and herself from sinister forces that seek to capture her and use her powers for a weapon of mass destructio­n. Starring Zac Efron, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Sydney Lemmon, Kurtwood Smith and John Beasley. Also streaming on Peacock.

• “Family Camp” (PG): Faithbased comedy about a pastor who encourages the congregati­on to sign up for a week away at family camp. Starring Leigh-Allyn Baker, Gigi Orsillo, Cece Kelly and Robert Amaya.

• “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” (PG-13): New film with Marvel Studios’ comic book superhero Doctor Strange, who with the help of mystical allies, traverses alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a new adversary. Starring Benedict Cumberbatc­h, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong and Patrick Stewart.

• “Memory” (R): When Alex, an expert assassin, refuses to complete a job for a dangerous criminal organizati­on, he becomes a target. FBI agents and Mexican intelligen­ce are brought in to investigat­e the trail of bodies, leading them closer to Alex. With the crime syndicate and

FBI in hot pursuit, Alex has the skills to stay ahead, except he is struggling with severe memory loss. Starring Liam Neeson, Monica Bellucci, Taj Atwal and Guy Pearce.

• “The Bad Guys” (PG): Computer-animated action comedy from DreamWorks Animation, based on the book series of the same name, a crackerjac­k criminal crew of animal outlaws pose as model citizens in order to avoid prison. Starring Sam Rockwell, Craig Robinson and Anthony Ramos.

• “The Northman” (R): Robert Eggers directs this action-filled epic that follows a young Viking prince on his quest to avenge his father’s murder. Starring Alexander Skarsgård, Nicole Kidman and Claes Bang, Ethan Hawke, Björk and Willem Dafoe.

• “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore” (PG13): The newest adventure in the Wizarding World franchise centered on Harry Potter novels by J.K. Rowling. Professor

Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law) gathers a team to stop dark wizard Gellert Grindelwal­d (Mads Mikkelsen) from seizing control of the wizarding world. Also starring Eddie Redmayne, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol and Ezra Miller.

• “Sonic-The Hedgehog 2”: Sonic (voiced by Ben Schwartz), is eager to prove he has what it takes to be a true hero in this sequel. His test comes when

Dr. Robotnik returns, this time with a new partner, Knuckles, in search for an emerald that has the power to destroy civilizati­ons. Also starring James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, and Natasha Rothwell.

• “Everything Everywhere

All at Once” (R): Comedic sci-fi action adventure about an exhausted Chinese American woman (Michelle Yeoh) who can’t seem to finish her taxes. Also starring Stephanie Hsu, Ke Huy Quan, Jenny Slate, Harry Shum Jr., with James Hong and Jamie Lee Curtis.

STREAMING MOVIES

• “Spiderhead” (R): In a stateof-the-art penitentia­ry run by Steve Abnesti (Chris Hemsworth), inmates wear a surgically attached device that administer­s dosages of mind-altering drugs. Also starring Miles Teller and Jurnee Smollett. Based on The New Yorker short story by George Saunders, the movie is a darkly funny psychologi­cal thriller directed by Joseph Kosinski. Available on Netflix, June 17.

• “Good Luck to You, Leo Grande” (R): Emma Thompson stars as a retired teacher Nancy Stokes, and newcomer Daryl McCormack (Peaky Blinders) personifie­s the charisma and compassion of sex worker Leo

Grande. Available on Hulu, June 17.

• “Cha Cha Real Smooth” (R): Fresh out of college and without a clear life path going forward, 22-year-old Andrew is stuck back at home with his family in New Jersey. He lands a job of motivation­al dancing at the bar and bat mitzvahs for his younger brother’s classmates, and befriends a local mom, Domino, and her daughter, Lola. Cooper Raiff writes, directs and stars alongside Dakota Johnson, Brad Garrett, Leslie Mann. Available on Apple TV+, June 17.

• “Fire Island” (R): Andrew Ahn’s modern day rom-com showcasing a diverse, multicultu­ral examinatio­n of queerness and romance. Inspired by the timeless pursuits from Jane Austen’s classic “Pride and Prejudice”, the story centers around a group of friends who gather at Fire Island of New York for their annual summer of love and laughter. Starring Joel Kim Booster, Bowen Yang, Margaret Cho, Conrad Ricamora and James Scully. Available on Hulu.

• “Ms. Marvel”: Marvel Studios’ “Ms. Marvel” is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. Kamala is an avid gamer, fan-fiction scribe and a Super Hero mega fan, especially Captain Marvel. Starring Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh and Rish Shah. Available on Disney+.

• “Hustle” (R): After discoverin­g a once-in-a-lifetime player with a rocky past abroad, a down on his luck basketball scout ( Adam Sandler ) takes it upon himself to bring the phenom to the States without his team’s approval. Also starring Queen Latifah, Ben Foster and Kenny Smith. Available on Netflix.

• “Obi-Wan Kenobi”: Lucasfilm limited series that begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars-Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader. Starring Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christense­n. Available on Disney+.

• “The Lost City” (PG-13): Reclusive author Loretta Sage (Sandra Bullock) writes about exotic places in her popular romance-adventure novels featuring handsome cover model Alan, (Channing Tatum) as the hero character, “Dash.” While on tour promoting her new book with Alan, Loretta is kidnapped by an eccentric billionair­e who wants her to lead him to the ancient lost city’s treasure from her latest story. Also starring Daniel Radcliffe, Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Oscar Nuñez.

• “Jazz Fest-A New Orleans Story” (PG-13): Documentar­y about the “Jazz Fest,” the signature annual music and cultural event of New Orleans. The film weaves together live performanc­es and interviews from the 50th anniversar­y of the iconic festival, featuring some of the biggest names in the music industry, along with archival documentar­y footage. Directed by Frank Marshall and Ryan Suffern.

• “Stranger Things” (Season 4, Vol. 1): Struggling with the aftermath of the Battle of Starcourt, the series’ group of friends are separated for the first time — and are navigating the complexiti­es of high school. Starring Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Millie Bobby Brown and Finn Wolfhard. Available on Netflix.

• “The Batman” (PG-13): Reboot based on the DC Comics character Batman with Robert Pattinson starring in the dual role of Gotham City’s vigilante detective and his alter ego, reclusive billionair­e Bruce Wayne. When a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinatio­ns, the Batman enters into the underworld, where he encounters such characters as Selina Kyle/ aka Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot/aka the Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and Edward Nashton/aka the Riddler (Paul Dano).

• “Uncharted” (PG-13): Action adventure film with treasure hunter Victor “Sully” Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg) and Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) on a dangerous quest to find a lost treasure. Starring Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg, Sophia Taylor Ali and Antonio Banderas.

• “The Contractor” (R): Discharged from the Army, a special forces sergeant lands a contract with a private undergroun­d military force. His first assignment goes wrong and the soldier finds himself hunted and on the run. Starring Chris Pine, Florian Munteanu, Ben Foster and Gillian Jacobs.

• “Chip ‘N Dale-Rescue Rangers” (PG): Live-action animated film with Disney’s chipmunk characters, Chip and Dale, living amongst cartoons and humans in modern-day Los Angeles. Starring John Mulaney, Andy Samberg,

KiKi Layne, Will Arnett and Seth Rogen. Available on Disney+.

• “Operation Mincemeat” (PG13): Historical drama set in 1943 during World War II. The Allies set out to break Hitler’s grip on occupied Europe, by using a deception operation to disguise an all-out assault on Sicily. Starring Colin Firth, Matthew Macfadyen, Kelly Macdonald, Penelope Wilton and Johnny Flynn. Available on Netflix.

• “Senior Year” (R): After a cheerleade­r falls off a pyramid, she awakens from a coma 20 years later as a 37-year-old woman, ready to return to high schoo and claim the prom queen crown that eluded her. Starring Rebel Wilson, Sam Richardson, Zoë Chao, Mary Holland, Justin Hartley, Available on Netflix.

• “Father Stu” (R): When an injury ends his amateur boxing career, Stuart Long (Mark Wahlberg), moves to Los Angeles. While scraping by as a supermarke­t clerk, he meets Carmen, a Sunday school teacher. Also starring Jacki Weaver, Mel Gibson and Teresa Ruiz.

• “Ambulance” (R): A breakneck thriller where decorated veteran Will Sharp (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), desperate for money to cover his wife’s medical bills, asks for help from his adoptive brother Danny (Jake Gyllenhaal) who offers him a score: the biggest bank heist in Los Angeles history.

• “Along for the Ride”: During the summer before starting college, Auden meets Eli. While the seaside town of Colby sleeps, the two embark on a nightly quest to help Auden experience the fun, carefree teen life she never knew she wanted. Starring Emma Pasarow, Belmont Cameli, Kate Bosworth, Dermot Mulroney and Andie MacDowell. Available on Netflix.

• “Shining Girls” TV-MA: Years after a brutal attack left her in a constantly shifting reality, Kirby Mazrachi learns that a recent murder is linked to her assault and teams with a reporter for answers. Starring Elisabeth Moss, Wagner Moura, Philipp Soo, Chris Chalk, Amy Brenneman, Jamie Bell. Available on Apple TV+.

• “The Long Game-Bigger

Than Basketball” (TV-14): A docuseries about an NBA hopeful determined to take control of his journey. Makur Maker was a five-star NBA prospect headed to the draft — until a detour led him to Howard University. Available on Apple TV+.

• “They Call Me Magic” (TVMA): A docuseries about the life of basketball player legend Earvin “Magic” Johnson. Featuring interviews with President Obama, Larry Bird, Pat Riley. Available on Apple TV+.
