The man convicted of a double murder that happened in 2021 will likely spend the rest of his life locked up based on the lengthy prison term he was given Wednesday in Oakland County Circuit Court.

At his sentencing hearing before Judge Michael Warren, Torris Green, 29, was ordered to spend 65100 years for the Nov. 4, 2021 fatal shootings of Kyle Milton, 29, and Stefon Crow, 23, as well as a concurrent sentence of 4-10 years for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Green also will serve a consecutive term of two years for possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, with jail credit of 456 days.

The judge handed Green an enhanced sentence due to him being a habitual offender with prior convictions for assault, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of marijuana and intent to deliver a controlled substance.

Milton and Crow were shot multiple times at a home in the 60 block of North Johnson Avenue in Pontiac where they had gathered with a few others for a night of partying. The two were friends.

According to testimony presented during his trial in January, Green had walked in on his child’s mother, Latoyia Puckett, and Crow having sex in her apartment’s bedroom moments before the shooting. Crow then followed Green out to the living room where he was shot. Milton fled and was found shot outside.

Autopsies revealed Crow was shot six times and Milton was shot four times.

Crow had a 2-month-old child when he was killed. Milton was the father of four — including two boys, ages 3 and 9, found frozen to death along with their mother, Monica Cannady, last month in Pontiac. Milton was also the father of the 10-year-old girl who had been with her mother and brothers as they wandered around for a couple days outdoors, reportedly due to a mental crisis Cannady was suffering.
