It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Richard Tiltman beloved husband to Geri Tiltman. He was a devoted husband, friend, father, brother, and grandfather. He transitioned peacefully in his home on Februat ary 28th 2023, the age of 80. Rich was a kind soul with a beautiful spirit who lived his life with purpose, love, and a strong faith. He was a loving husband who always put his wife first. In his professional life, Rich was a respected type-setter in the newsthe paper industry. He dedicated himself to serving Oakland Press for over 45 years with distinction. He was known for his attention to detail and his unRich wavering commitment to excellence. proudly holds the longevity record and during his 45 years, he only missed 3 days! Rich was a man of many taland ents and interests. He was an avid woodworker enjoyed spending time outdoors in his youth playing baseball and golfing, and gardening in his later years. We will miss Rich dearly, but take comfort in the knowledge that his memory will live on through the lives he touched. He found great joy in helping others. He was an inspiration to all who knew him and we are blessed to have had him in our lives. A visitation will be held on March 3rd from 3:008:00 pm at the Mandziuk Funeral Home, 3801 18 Mile Road, Sterling Heights. Service is at 6:30 pm. He was preceded in death by his sons Mark and Chris, and his sisters Charlotte and Jean. May he join them in union with the Lord. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the family for funeral expenses.
