• Independence Fest: 11 a.m. July 1, Clintonwood Park, 6000 Clarkston Road, Independence Twp., featuring youth activities, spray park, food concessions, arts and crafts vendors (11 a.m.-5p.m.), live entertainment noon-3p.m. and 7-10p.m., fireworks at 10p.m., no glass, no alcohol permitted.
