David Jordan, aged 61, passed calmly in the early morning of Friday June 16 surrounded by his wife of 40 years, Debbie Jordan; his children, Ashly and Leslie, and their spouses David and Lindsay; his parents, Betty and Lynn; his siblings, Dan and Donna, and Dan’s spouse Brandy. Dave is also survived by his Aunt Ellie and her spouse Tom; his Aunt Wanda; his Uncle Al; Donna’s spouse David; many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends; and Hoss, JJ, and Vienna. Dave attended Walled Lake Central High School, graduating in 1979. He went on to Lawrence Institute of Technology, earning degrees in Mechanical Engineerin­g and Business Administra­tion. His career in logistics and manufactur­ing spanned nearly 40 years, working for Leaseway Transporta­tion, Sigma Stamping, and Hatch Stamping, where he rose to General Manager of four tooling and manufactur­ing facilities. Dave’s thoughtful, sweet, and wise words will continue to guide the many family and friends who loved him and relied on him as their rock. Decades of memories will forever be celebrated including things Dave loved: watching sports and listening to music in the garage; restoring cars; the outdoors; making jewelry and pottery; making mixtapes; being on the lake; neighborho­od gatherings at the bonfire; and having a good time with his family and friends. Dave joins his buddy Jim (Gutierrez), his grandparen­ts Thelma and Harold (Jordan), his grandparen­ts Mary and James (Papp), and his nephew Randy (Shaner). An outdoor celebratio­n of his life will be held on his birthday on July 2nd.
