JONES GIFT APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED

-

The charitable nonprofit Fred Jones Family Foundation will accept applications for its 2016 Mary Eddy Jones Signature Gift through May 6. In honor of the late Mary Eddy Jones, wife of Fred Jones who consistently sought to improve arts, culture and beautification throughout central Oklahoma, the $75,000 grant was created to honor organizations at least three years of age who primarily focus on arts, culture and landscaping improvements. Applying organizations must be based in Oklahoma and registered with an official tax-exempt status letter under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

“We are extremely honored to continue our grandmother’s legacy by enabling other charitable organizations to contribute to the betterment of our community as she did,” said Kirk Hall, Fred Jones Family Foundation chairman and president. “The Mary Eddy Jones Signature Gift truly signifies her ongoing impact on the arts, culture and beautification in our state.” Last year’s gift was awarded to the Mercy Health Foundation, which helped create The Mary Eddy Jones Healing Garden in the new Breast and Cancer Center. Past recipients include the Central Oklahoma Humane Society, YWCA of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma City Community College, the Oklahoma Zoological Society and the Myriad Gardens Foundation. The 2016 Mary Eddy Jones Signature Gift will be awarded later this year. Grant applications and additional information can be found at www.fredjonesfamily foundation.com/signature_gift.html.
