UCO HAS PLAN FOR PROFESSIONALS
Enrollment is open for the University of Central Oklahoma’s professional science master’s program in computational science, a program designed for Oklahoma City metro professionals who want to pursue advanced training in science while simultaneously developing career-building business skills.
The new program combines science, technology, engineering and mathematics with Master of Business Administration coursework from UCO’s College of Business. Rather than a master’s thesis, the two-year program includes interdisciplinary, real-world projects and culminates with a capstone project.
Courses are set to begin this fall with class schedules and locations designed to accommodate the metro’s working professionals.
“Oklahoma City’s energy, aerospace, biosciences and manufacturing sectors are increasingly in need of individuals who not only have advanced science and mathematics knowledge, but also business fundamentals like project management, communication and team-building,” program director Evan Lemley said.
