CHILD STRUCK BY CAR
A 9-year-old boy was in critical condition Saturday after he was hit by a car.
The boy, whose name was not released, was crossing S Douglas Boulevard on a bicycle when he was struck by a southbound car, Midwest City Police Chief Brandon Clabes said. He said the boy was taken to an Oklahoma City hospital and admitted in critical condition.
Clabes said it appears the driver was within the speed limit for the street and remained on scene after the collision. Clabes said there were no crosswalks where the child was struck.

MAN FOUND DEAD IN OKC
Police are investigating a possible homicide that happened just before midnight Friday in southeast Oklahoma City.
Oklahoma City police Sgt. Robbie Robertson said homicide detectives were still on the scene Saturday afternoon where a man was found dead at the Madison Village Apartments, 4215 SE 53.
The man was not identified, nor was a suspect. Anyone with information should call the homicide tip line at 297-1200.
YUKON
Two people died Friday evening after a wreck on westbound Interstate 40, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Kaylee Renee Hamilton, 23, of Fort Cobb, and David Paul Vallerand, 43, Okarche, died at the scene. The wreck happened about 7:25 p.m. near Frisco Road, troopers said.
Hamilton and Vallerand were pedestrians, troopers reported. A driver, Nhut Hong Nguyen, 58, of Oklahoma City, was taken to a hospital and admitted.
Two other pedestrians on the scene were injured, and one was hospitalized, troopers said. The accident remained under investigation.
