Constitution Week prompts visit from DAR chapter

GUTHRIE — In observance of Constitution Week, members of the Samuel King (Edmond/Guthrie) chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution visited Debbie Longnecker’s fourth-grade class at Guthrie Upper Elementary School.

The U.S. Constitution and the DAR were discussed during the visit last week.

Two of the students offered a presentation on the Constitution.

DAR members also shared the Flag Code with Longnecker, and handed out flags to everyone.

In conclusion, everyone sang “The Star Spangled Banner.”
