Three Oklahoma City school board seats are up for election next month, and The Oklahoman is hosting a forum Jan. 23 when all 11 candidates can discuss their vision for the district.

The Feb. 14 election will include the board chair position, which is open to all voters living in the Oklahoma City Public Schools district.

Board seats in districts 1 and 2 are also up for election and are open to all voters living in those designated districts.

The Oklahoman’s forum will be Jan. 23 at the District House event space, 1755 NW 16, in the city’s Plaza District. The board chair candidates forum will be at 6 p.m., followed by the district 1 and 2 candidates at 7 p.m.

The forum, which will be moderated by The

Oklahoman’s Ben Felder, is free to attend, but seating is limited. Please RSVP at oklahomanevents@oklahoman.com.

If no school board candidate receives a majority of the votes in the February election, the two highest vote recipients will move on to an April 4 runoff.
