Sooners pick up two commitments for 2019

-

On a day where Oklahoma had some of the top 2018 prospects on campus for junior day, the Sooners got a quick start on 2019 recruiting.

OU picked up a pair of commitments from wide receivers who are juniorsto-be, in Arjei Henderson and Theo Wease.

The duo made their announcements nearly simultaneously on Twitter.

Henderson, of Richmond (Texas) Travis, had 100 catches for 1,401 yards and 18 touchdowns as a sophomore.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder also had offers from Florida, Georgia, USC, Washington, Baylor, TCU and Texas A&M.

Wease (6-2, 180) had 35 catches for 421 yards and eight touchdowns this season.

The Allen, Texas, product also held offers from Texas, Georgia, TCU and Baylor.

Henderson and Wease are the first two 2019 commits for the Sooners, who signed a consensus top-10 2017 class earlier this month.

Oklahoma has three 2018 commitments, including Newbury Park (Calif.) quarterback Cameron Rising and Southmoore offensive tackle Brey Walker.
