Scholarship applicants sought for Oklahoma universities
to help others find ways to enjoy the holidays while being far from home.
The military coin is a symbol used by commanders to promote pride, build cohesion, increase morale within a unit and show personal appreciation to service members. Colbert is the daughter of Shannon L. Colbert, of El Reno, and Stephanie V. Wandick, of Oklahoma City. She is a 2016 graduate of Western Heights High School.

Applications for the P.B. Odom III Family Scholarship are open through June 1.
The scholarship was established to encourage graduating seniors and applicants 45 or younger from the south Oklahoma City and Moore areas to pursue post-secondary education degree programs at an Oklahoma accredited college or university offering a vocational, two-year or fouryear curriculum.
Scholarships of $2,000 will be awarded to 25 applicants to be used for tuition, fees, books, equipment or supplies.
Applicants must complete a general application before applying for specific scholarship opportunities.
