Fun park plans book drive

NORMAN — Andy Alligator’s Fun Park and Water Park, 3300 Market Place Drive, will hold a book drive March 2-5 in celebration of Read Across America Day. All books collected will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Norman. As an incentive for donating a new teen, preteen or children’s book, guests will receive a winter fun pass, a $19.99 value, for $10. Event to feature Irish dancers

Quilters guild plans meeting

The February meeting of the Central Oklahoma Quilters Guild will be at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday at Wiley Post Air Park, 5700 N Rockwell Ave., in the Clarence E. Page Building. Kathi Eubanks, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, will give a lecture on “What are the Judges Looking For?” At the same location, Eubanks will conduct a mock judging of quilts at 9 a.m. Friday.
