Celebrating the changing season

-

The Three Sisters Celebration was Sunday at the Chickasaw Cultural Center in Sulphur. The event observes the changing of the seasons when many food crops begin to take root. An ancient method of gardening, “Three Sisters,” uses an intercropping system to simultaneously grow corn, beans and squash. Spring officially begins at 5:29 a.m. today and continues until June 20.
