Yukon plans Birthday Bash on Saturday

The city of Yukon will partner with Yukon’s Best Main Street for Birthday Bash. Stroll down historic Main Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and enjoy food, shopping and entertainm­ent.

Check out the Entertainm­ent Stage on Fifth Street from 10 a.m. through 2 p.m. The entertainm­ent lineup includes dancing and live music.

Main Street businesses will offer special sales and offers throughout the day. First United Methodist Church will hold its spring craft Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Grady’s Pub will grill up some of its famous onion burgers. Food trucks will be available to satisfy appetites of all kinds. At 1 p.m., Yukon’s Farm Museum will be serving free birthday cake and ice cream.

On Fourth Street is the Kid’s Hopping Good Time Area featuring a mechanical bull, climbing wall, slides, face painting, and other activities. Prices vary. Thanks to Baker’s Photo, your child can take a free photo with the Easter Bunny.

The Spring Stroll is a spirited Easter bonnet parade and contest. Wear your traditiona­l Easter bonnet or your boldest, silliest Easter hat and stroll down Main Street. Prizes will be awarded. There will be special categories just for Red Hat Ladies. Included in the stroll will be a pet parade, so bring your pets dressed in their best spring attire.

Grady’s Pub and Parks and Recreation will hold a corn hole tournament for the grown-ups. Register your team for $20 at the Jackie Cooper Gym and compete for cash prizes.
