Humane society appoints new president

- FROM STAFF REPORTS

The Central Oklahoma Humane Society (OK Humane) announced that Dana McCrory has been appointed as president and chief executive officer.

McCrory will succeed Susana Della Maddalena.

“Susana provided us with an ambitious vision to move our city to a new level of excellence and accountability in the humane treatment of our domestic animals,” said Frank Hill, chairman of OK Humane’s board of directors.

“We wish Sue the very best in her return to Arizona to care for her parents and hope she will return to Oklahoma City on a regular basis.”

McCrory comes to OK Humane from the Integris Health Foundation, where she served as director of leadership gifts, playing a key role in supporting the Integris Healthcare system through philanthropy.

Before that McCrory was executive director of the Oklahoma Zoological Society, where for eight years she worked to grow memberships, conducting capital campaigns and building community partnerships.

“I am honored to accept this important role to serve an organization that exists to enrich the community that I love,” McCrory said.

“Leading the Central Oklahoma Humane Society is the opportunity of a lifetime, and I am humbled to follow in the footsteps of my predecessors.”
