STILLWATER — The Cowboys stand loaded at wide receiver for 2017.

And they’re well into a reload for the future, with the 2018 recruiting class bolstered Monday with the commitment of Tulsa Union wideout

C.J. Moore, a consensus four-star prospect and the cousin of former OSU standout Tracy Moore.

C.J., holding more than 20 offers from some of the nation’s top programs, made his announcement on Twitter:

“First I wanna thank God! I’m beyond blessed to do what I’m about to do! Also thanks to my family, teammates, coaches and friends for making me strive for greatness! With that being said I’ll be a dualsport athlete long jumping and playing football at OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY !!!!! ”

For OSU, it was the second commitment in as many days, following the pledge of defensive end

Tyler Lacy on Sunday. Lacy is a three-star prospect from Sachse, Texas.

Moore gives the Cowboys their second fourstar prospect in the 2018 class, joining quarterback Spencer Sanders from Denton, Texas. That duo could become OSU’s next premier pass-and-catch combo.

At 6-foot-5 and 175 pounds, Moore enters his senior season at Union with 72 career catches for 1,180 yards and 25 touchdowns. According to 247sports.com, Moore is the nation’s No. 117-ranked prospect, the No. 22 wide receiver and the No. 3 recruit in the state. Moore chose the Cowboys over Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, Auburn and Oregon.

Lacy is a 6-4, 238pound prospect who grabbed an OSU offer while attending the Cowboys’ junior day two weeks ago. He visited again over the weekend and pulled the trigger on his commitment, also via Twitter:

“First and foremost I give all praise to God for blessing me with the opportunity and talent to play football at the next level. I would like thank

my family and coaches for all of their support along my journey. And to all of the coaches and recruiters that believed in me, I would like to thank them as well. After many discussions with my family and close friends, I am blessed to say that I will be committing to Oklahoma State University where I will be a Cowboy!”

OSU now has nine commitments in the 2018 class, which ranks No. 14 nationally by 247sports. com.

Grogan invited to Saints rookie minicamp

The all-time scoring leader in OSU football history will have an opportunity to make an NFL roster. Former Cowboy kicker

Ben Grogan, who tallied 433 points as a four-year starter in Stillwater, has received an invitation to New Orleans Saints rookie minicamp, Grogan confirmed to The Oklahoman.

The Arlington, Texas, native earned secondteam All-Big 12 honors last fall as a senior. Grogan recorded two game-winning kicks as a junior in 2015 (at Texas and vs. Kansas State) and another in 2014 (at Oklahoma). He finished his career with the secondmost field goals made, 68, in program history.

Grogan underwent multiple hip surgeries during his time at OSU and was relieved of kickoff duties in 2016 by walk-on Matt Ammnedola. Grogan’s best shot at earning an NFL roster spot will be as a field goal specialist. The Saints return Wil Lutz at the position, a now second-year place-kicker and former undrafted free agent from Georgia State. Lutz connected on 28-of-37 field goal attempts last season, a mark that ranked No. 21 out of 32 teams.

Here’s an updated look at landing spots for other Cowboys not selected in the 2017 NFL Draft:

CB Ashton Lampkin — Kansas City Chiefs (free agent signing)

TE Blake Jarwin — Dallas Cowboys (free agent signing)

CB Lenzy Pipkins — Green Bay Packers (free agent signing)

WR Jhajuan Seales — Chicago Bears (free agent signing)

S Jordan Sterns — Kansas City Chiefs (free agent signing)

OSU receiver Jalen McCleskey on the Cowboys’ 2017 receiving corps: “I feel like we are really special. We have so much depth and experience. We are all so close, and I feel like it is going to be a really fun year.”
