Three people die after Oklahoma crashes
Three people are dead after Oklahoma crashes, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.
Gustavo Marino, 30, of Liberal, Kansas
Marino was dead at the scene of a collision about 10:35 p.m. Sunday on U.S. 64 about 3 miles west of Forgan in Beaver County, the patrol said.
A sport utility vehicle driven east on U.S. 64 by Brandon Shaw Porter, 41, of Beaver, went left of center to pass a tractortrailer and hit an oncoming car driven by Marino, the patrol reported.
Porter was taken to a Liberal hospital where he was treated for a leg injury.
A passenger in Marino’s car, Oscar A. Anaya, 34, of Liberal, was taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released.
Seat belts were in use by Marino and Anaya. Porter did not wear a seat belt.
James R. Ripper, 34, of Sapulpa
Ripper was the driver of a van that crashed on Interstate 244 in the westbound lanes at the Yale Avenue exit ramp in Tulsa, the patrol reported.
Ripper was dead at the scene about 6:55 p.m. Sunday.
Ripper was driving west when he drove off the roadway and hit trees. He did not wear a seat belt.
William Lee Attaway, 18, of Noble
Attaway died Monday at OU Medical Center from injuries suffered in a wreck about 1:30 a.m. Friday, troopers said.
Attaway was driving a pickup south on U.S. 77 in Lexington in Cleveland County, when it went out of control and rolled, according to a patrol report.
He was not wearing a seat belt.
