Well done, contest winners
The Oklahoma Energy Resource Board held its Well Site Safety Day at the Capitol last week. Twenty-one students were recognized and had a chance to meet their legislators.
The safety program was created in 1996 in response to a fatal accident involving children playing around a tank battery, according to a news release. Students from across the state were selected to showcase their original artwork illustrating the dangers of well sites during the safety day on April 25. The students were chosen from 3,069 applicants in the coloring contest and poster contest.
