Agencies can seek funds
The Cleveland County Child Abuse Prevention Fund is accepting applications from county agencies that deal with child abuse.
The money is collected when jurors donate their juror pay to the child abuse prevention fund. The Cleveland County court clerk holds the money until it reaches $12,000.
At that point, the clerk’s office can disburse the money to agencies that help prevent child abuse or agencies that assist the vicims of child abuse.
The fund has hit the $12,000 mark.
For information on how to apply for funds, call the clerk’s office at 321-6402.
