Metro water parks to open for Memorial Day weekend
With temperatures expected to climb into the upper 80s to mid-90s for much of central Oklahoma by Saturday, water parks across the metro are opening up for families looking to beat the heat.
Oklahoma City
The Earlywine Family Aquatic Center, 3101 SW 119, and the Will Rogers Family Aquatic Center, 3201 N Grand Blvd., will be open starting Saturday from noon to 6 p.m.
Featuring a number of slides and pools, White Water Bay, 3908 W Reno Ave., opens at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. For more information, including ticket prices, go to www.white waterbay.com.
Edmond
Pelican Bay Aquatics Center, 1034 S Bryant Ave., which features a splash pad, play structure for children, lazy river and two water slides, will open on Saturday. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For information, go to www.pelicanbay aquatics.com.
Moore
Moore’s 45,000-square -foot The Station Aquatic Center, 700 S Broadway St., opens to the public at noon Friday. The aquatic center features a lazy river, two large slides, a wading pool with slide and spray features, diving area, family slide and an aquatic climbing wall. Norman

Midwest City
The Lions Park Splash Pad, 2201 S Midwest Blvd., opens at 10 a.m. from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Yukon
