The Big All-City boys and girls basketball teams played Thursday night. See who came out on top and who starred among the stars.

MOORE — When it’s showtime, Trae Young shines.

As the Norman North senior star walked to the middle of the Southmoore High School court for the Thursday night’s 3-point contest at halftime of the Big All-City boys basketball game, he pulled off a T-shirt to reveal a Steph Curry Golden State Warriors jersey.

And for the next 60 seconds, he did what Curry — not to mention Young himself — does best.

Fans in the crowd counted along as he made 3-pointer after 3-pointer, and with time running down, he paused, set his feet and swished the last one.

It gave him 18 makes in one minute, beating Southmoore’s Tye Blaine by one for the win.

“It’s a lot of pressure,” Young said with a smile. “When you have Steph’s jersey on, you better win it.

“Anytime I get a chance to shoot in a 3-point contest, I’m gonna go and try my best to win. It was a lot of fun.”

The game turned out to be a little dramatic, too, with the East rallying from nearly a 20-point deficit. But the West held on for a 134-132 win.

Edmond North teammates Will Boyd and Marvin Johnson had 16 and 13 points, respectively, to lead the West to the win.

“It makes it a lot of fun to play one last time with a bunch of guys you won a state championship with,” said Johnson, who topped Southmoore’s

Quian Williams in the finals of the slam dunk contest.

Williams and Westmoore’s Trey Palmer had 19 each for the East, and Blaine added 18.

Llanusa stars in East win

There’s been little doubt through most of her high school career that Choctaw’s Ana Llanusa was the best girls basketball player in the OKC metro.

So it was no surprise that she was the star of the show in the East’s 64-59 win over the West on Thursday night.

After scoring just two points in the first quarter, Llanusa reeled off 22 the rest of the way, including four 3-pointers to finish with a game-high 24 points.

She added a victory in the 3-point contest at halftime as well, outdueling hometown favorite Haley Eaves of Southmoore.

Eaves played well in the final game on her home court, scoring 14 points to lead the West.

Jo’Nah Johnson of Edmond Santa Fe added 13 for the West and Shala Robinson of Moore had 13 for the East.
