Durant and James recorded a song together during the lockout shortened season of 2011 when Durant was still a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Durant apparently recorded the track when he was visiting James for a workout in Akron, Ohio.

Haynes wrote, based on ESPN sources, that “both players are music junkies, and in between workouts they decided to kill some time by writing their own lyrics and heading to the booth.” Haynes also said James and Durant “to a moderate extent” confirmed the track’s existence “before bursting out into laughter without further comment.”

whose brother was Durant’s agent for nearly five years, told Haynes he heard the track during post production for the movie Thunderstruck. Durant starred in the 2012 film.

Barring an internet leak, good luck finding the track on Apple Music or Spotify. Eric Goodwin, who executive produced Thunderstruck, said Durant wanted to keep the track private.
