Camp offers youths a common thread

OSU Cooperative Extension will offer a three-day summer sewing camp, Monday through Wednesday at the Oklahoma County OSU Extension Conference Center, 2500 NE 63.

The camp is from 9 a.m. to noon and is for youths ages 10 to 19. Machines will be provided. The workshop is limited to 10. Cost for the class is $50, and preregistration is required.

The sewing camp will include the use of sewing machines, pattern preparation and layout, cutting and construction. Participants will construct elastic-waist pants, skirt or shorts and a fleece blanket and pillow.
