Louise Metcalf was born on July 24, 1930, in Cook County, TX. She was the last of nine children born to Henry and Mary (Schmitz) Lueb. She passed peacefully in her home near Nicoma Park, OK on June 29, 2017, at the age of 86. Louise was raised on a farm in southern Oklahoma where, from a young age, she helped with all the farm work in addition to going to school. She graduated from Nida High School in 1948 and moved to Oklahoma City. It was there that she met and married her husband, Bob Metcalf. Louise was a strong woman who lovingly raised her three children, held a wide variety of occupation­s, and put her early childhood farm experience to work on her and her husband's farm, handling every job with nary a complaint. In her free time, Louise loved to go square dancing with her husband, sewed beautiful quilts, and crocheted numerous afghans for family and baby caps for children in need. She was renowned for her generosity, kindness, love and compassion for her family and all those around her. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Metcalf; son, Bobbie Metcalf; her daughterin-law, Marie (Kim) Metcalf; one brother and six sisters. She is survived by brother, Ray Lueb; daughter, Sharon Morris; son-in-law, Curt Morris; son, Kim Metcalf; six grandchild­ren, eight great-grandchild­ren, and two great- great- grandchild­ren. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Robert's Catholic Church, 121 N.W. 1st Street, Jones, OK 73049, at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, 2017. Interment will follow at the Arlington Memory Gardens Cemetery in Midwest City, OK. All are invited for lunch at 12 p.m. prior to Mass across the street from St. Robert's Catholic Church. She was born an angel and left as one. She was an inspiratio­n to all she met and will be sorely missed.
