The clerk’s office will file the forms, print new copies of filed forms and certify them at no charge to veterans. The treasurer’s office will make free copies of official military documents.
The commissioner’s office will notarize documents free for veterans. Property record cards are available free for veterans through the assessor’s office.
Kids can learn about seeds
“The Story of Seeds” is set for 10 a.m. Aug. 12 in the Terrace Room of the Myriad Botanical Gardens.
It is best for kids ages 6 to 10, who will learn about the different ways seeds travel, from hitchhiking to gliding, by examining seeds local and foreign to Oklahoma.
Participants will read seed-related books, play a game and create stories of how seeds find their new homes.
The fee is $5 for members and $7 for nonmembers of the gardens. Register by Aug. 8 at www.myriad gardens.org.
