UCO station expands options

EDMOND — Classical music fans now have more options for listening, as KUCO, the classical radio station based at the University of Central Oklahoma, has introduced its presence on a variety of streaming platforms.

Listeners can stream KUCO through a wider selection of resources, including the TuneIn app; aha Radio, a popular internet provider for in-car listening; iTunes; Bose’s SoundTouch network; Amazon’s in-home radio listening channels, available through Alexa devices; and as part of iHeart Radio’s live radio selection.

Additional­ly, KUCO, in an agreement with StreamGuys, a profession­al media services company, upgraded to a new device, the Z/IPStream audio processing encoder, which enhances the station’s audio stream to an enriched, higher quality.

Norman offers plan survey

NORMAN — The city is seeking input from the community about the Preferred Growth Plan for the Comprehens­ive Plan, which is the plan that will help guide future growth in the city. Watercolor­s class is set

GUTHRIE — A watercolor­s for beginners class is set for 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 26 at the Guthrie Library.

This is an adult introducti­on to watercolor­s class where students will get familiar with how to apply color and compose a painting. Students will complete a painting suitable for framing.
