SOFTBALL Macy McAdoo, Tuttle

A junior pitcher committed to Oklahoma, McAdoo delivered in a big way while leading Tuttle to a tournament victory at OU.

She struck out 15 and threw a no-hitter in a win over Pryor. She also had two more games of 11 strikeouts apiece. In total, she struck out 64 batters, including 50 in the tournament.

“She’s been throwing really well here lately,” Tuttle coach Rebecca Cobb said.

As a result, the Tigers allowed just four runs, went 9-0 and moved to 24-1.

VOLLEYBALL Teagan Polcovich, Deer Creek

Class 6A’s top team keeps winning, and Polcovich is a big reason why.

Just a sophomore, she was named the MVP of Edmond Santa Fe’s Heather Harkness Tournament over the weekend following her team’s dominance.

The Antlers won all five matches, including beating all three Edmond schools for the first time in a tournament.

Deer Creek is now 17-0 entering Tuesday’s match against No. 10 Edmond Memorial.

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY Vlad Munteanu, Stillwater

Finished first overall for Class 5A and 6A with a time of 15:34.47 during a windy Putnam City West Patriot Open at Route 66 Park on Lake Overholser last week.

Munteanu has placed first twice and fifth once in three races this season after finishing fifth at state last year.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY Kenya Bailey, Midwest City

Clocked in at 21:22.4 to finish second at the first Midwest City Cross Country Rally. Bailey, a senior, has finished in the top 10 in every race this season after finishing 59th last season at the state meet.
