Three die in separate crashes

Three people are dead as a result of separate state crashes, authoritie­s said.

John Ryland Ketchum, 22, Alex

About 5:45 a.m. Wednesday, Ketchum was driving a car east on State Highway 19, about 1.6 miles west of Lindsay. The car went left of center and struck a pickup, driven by Michael A. Absher, 29, of Norman, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Ketchum was pronounced dead at the scene. Absher was taken to a Norman hospital where he was treated for his injuries and released, the patrol reported.

Travis Eads, 27, of Miami, OK

Eads died Tuesday night in a crash in Ottawa County east of Miami, the patrol reported.

Eads was dead at the scene about 11:10 p.m. on State Highway 10 near County Road 590 eastbound, the patrol reports.

Passenger Cheyenne Foster, 23, of Miami, was treated and released for injuries at a Miami hospital. A 1-year-old boy of Miami was not injured.

Eads was driving east on SH 10 when his vehicle ran off the roadway for an unknown reason and hit several small trees before stopping in a field. Investigat­ors have not determined whether anyone was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reports.

Unidentifi­ed person

Officer Megan Morgan, a spokeswoma­n for the Oklahoma City Police Department, said the wreck happened just after 1:40 p.m. Wednesday at 1800 S Western Ave. and involved a car and a pickup.

Morgan said the driver of the car, who was not identified, died at the scene. It was unknown Wednesday afternoon-whether anyone else at the scene was injured.
