Second suspect arrested in homicide

- FROM STAFF REPORTS

A 22-year-old man was arrested Thursday in connection with the September shooting death of a man in northeast Oklahoma City.

Trevion Marquise Moten was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County jail on complaints of murder and drug possession stemming from the Sept. 22 killing of Joshua Williams, 28.

Police said Williams was found dead about 7:50 p.m. in the living room of a home in the 1600 block of NE 20.

Williams and Kendal Richardson, 27, had come to the home to meet Ronnie Eugene Brannon, 26, and Moten to conduct a drug deal, according to a court affidavit. Sometime after arriving at the house, shots were fired after an altercation and Williams was fatally wounded.

Witnesses at the scene said Richardson, Williams and Brannon were all “marijuana dealers who have carried guns.”

Inside the home, police found more than 3 ounces of marijuana, scales, codeine cough syrup and more than $1,000 in cash. Investigators also found marijuana inside of two vehicles parked outside of the home, according to the affidavit.

Moten was being held without bail.

Richardson was also arrested in connection to Williams’ death and was being held without bail in the Oklahoma County jail on complaints of murder and drug possession.

An arrest warrant also has been issued for Brannon.
