Wagoner sets state record for consecutiv­e wins

Wagoner now owns the record for most consecutiv­e wins for an 11-man football team in Oklahoma.

The Bulldogs won their 43rd straight game Friday night by defeating Tulsa McLain, 62-22. Wagoner has won three straight Class 4A state championsh­ips.

Wagoner broke the record that was held by Ada, which won 42 straight games from September 1993 until September 1996.

Kingfisher rolls to easy win

Kingfisher quarterbac­k Jett Sternberge­r tossed two touchdown passes and ran for another score to lead the Yellowjack­ets to a 49-12 victory over Chandler.

The junior signal caller was 12 of 16 through the air for 146 yards and had a 23-yard touchdown run. He had scoring strikes of 25 and 17 yards to Trey Green and Cole Daughtery in the game.Green, a junior, had five receptions for 84 yards with two touchdowns, one on a 28-yard pass from Ian Daugherty.

Senior running back Cole Crosswhite rushed for 91 yards on 13 carries and scored twice for the Yellowjack­ets, who improved to 6-1 on the season. Keaton Abercrombi­e had a 12-yard intercepti­on return for a score.

Both of Chandler's touchdowns came on passes from Chabon Anderson to Casey Yeager.

Crusaders pound Crooked Oak

Christian Heritage improved to 5-2 on the season with a 39-13 victory over winless Crooked Oak.

The game was decided early as the Crusaders scored 27 first quarter points.

Bridge Bullard and Caleb Corff each scored two touchdowns. Bullard had a 1-yard plunge for Christian Heritage's fist touchdown and later caught a 43-yard touchdown pass from CamdenCarg­ill, who threw for three scores in the game.

Corff had a 5-yard touchdown reception and a 40-yard fumble return for a score.

Jones cruises to win

J.D. Head tossed five touchdown passes as Jones crushed McLoud, 60-0, to remain unbeaten.

Six different Longhorn receivers had touchdown receptions. D'Quan Laskey had Jones' final score on a 2-yard pass from Syler Berry.

Blaine Martin returned a punt 67 yards for a touchdown and also had a 1-yard scoring run.

Wade, Jeffreys have big nights for MSM

Mount St. Mary rallied from a two-touchdown deficit in the second half to defeat Blackwell, 28-13.

Quarterbac­k Tanner Wade threw three touchdown passes and returned an intercepti­on 20 yards for a score.

Trailing 13-0 after a Dylan Claybaker 22-yard scoring reception from Isaiah Stafford in the third period for Blackwell, the Rockets scored 28 unanswered points, 21 in the third quarter.

Aaron Jeffreys caught all three touchdown passes from Wade as the pair connected on scoring strikes of 93, 30 and 28 yards.
