coming.

Mackie Madden drove in two with her team down to its final out.

“It was super-tiring,” Carwile said. “It was frustrating.”

Both teams scored again in the 12th inning. But in the 14th, Spain delivered again with a single that score Carwile.

Washington still got the tying run to third base, but Curry lined out to end the game and start a celebration.

An exhausting game was worth every second.

“I get emotional about it because, golly, they fought so hard,” Jones said. “Not one time did they give up. Washington is an amazing team. I wish that right there was the state championship game.”

Dale rallies to stun Drumright

Dale coach Andy Powell took note of Rylie Premo’s quality at bats against Drumright’s Aubrey Eubanks.

Powell even remarked that something good would happen. Sure enough, it did.

Premo doubled in three runs in the bottom of the fifth to put No. 1-ranked Dale ahead of No. 4 Drumright for good in a nail-biting 6-5 victory Friday afternoon at USA Softball Hall of Fame complex.

Trailing 3-1 in the fifth, Eubanks loaded the bases. Premo then drove a pitch into the right-center gap to clear the bases. Dale continued piling on, building a 6-3 lead.

That was key as an error with two outs in the top of the seventh allowed two runs to score. Dale pitcher Delanie Manning got the final out, though.

Dale faces No. 2 Silo at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Stonewall makes first title game

No. 3 Stonewall is headed to its first state championship game.

No. 9 Amber-Pocasset had rallied to the game in the sixth, but a bunt single and two errors proved the difference in a 9-6 victory in the Class A semifinals.

With the game tied at 6, Alexis Chamberlain bunted as Makayla Walker was stealing second. An error allowed Walker to score and take the lead for good. Another error later in the inning scored two runs.

Katie Logan and Dawson Lyon drove in three runs apiece.

Stonewall plays No. 1 Binger-Oney at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

Arnett edges Turner

Searching for its first fast-pitch title, Class B No. 1 Arnett is one step closer following a 3-2 win over Turner.

Brooke Coykendall doubled in a run during the third for a 1-0 lead. In the fifth, Carli Word stole home and then Bailey Robertson drove in a run with a single before Arnett held off Turner’s seventh-inning two-run rally.

Arnett faces No. 2 Shattuck at 4 p.m. Saturday,
