Catherine Elizabeth English, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend, died Sept. 30, 2017, in Nashville, TN at the age of 20. Catherine is survived by her parents, Scott and Sandi English, of Edmond, OK; grandparents, Howard "Bud" and Gretchen (Biel) Johnson, of Edmond, OK; Dick and Susie Carney, of Nashville, TN; and Dick and Gwen Soergel, of Oklahoma City; siblings, Andrew English, Will Warner, Hannah Warner, Claire Warner, Sophie Warner, Ella Warner, and Kris and Paige Branam; aunts, uncles and cousins, Van and Diane Bielstein, Mike and Laura Skalak, Carl Bielstein and Carol Chapman, Kurt and Pat Bielstein, Lynn and Bette Baird, Kathy Baird Reeves, Nick Skalak, Aubrey Skalak and Jodie English Brown. Catherine was preceded in death by her mom, Mary Carney Dawson; and her grandfather, William "Randy" English.

Catherine was born on Sept. 15, 1997, in Oklahoma City. She graduated from John Overton High School as Valedictorian in 2015 and was a junior at Vanderbilt University studying cognitive studies. Catherine had a passion for helping others and loved her job as a Residence Adviser. She was extremely active in the Vanderbilt community, participating in many organizations and volunteer activities. Catherine left a positive impact on everyone she met.

Services to celebrate Catherine’s life are scheduled for Oct. 13, 2017, 3:30 p.m. at Saint Paul’s Cathedral, 127 N.W. 7th St., Oklahoma City, with a Reception to follow at Dean Wiley Hall.
