TULSA — Forty Oklahoma songwriters will converge on two different Tulsa venues from 3 to 10:30 p.m. Sunday to play an intimate festival celebrating the life and songwriting tradition of Oklahoma Music Hall of Famer Tom Skinner.

The second annual Tom Skinner’s Skyline Music Festival will benefit Oklahoma musicians in need through the nonprofit Red Dirt Relief Fund, a nonprofit organization that provides a safety net of critical assistance to Oklahoma musicians.

The lineup represents an eclectic mix of Skinner’s Red Dirt friends and Tulsa Sound musicians influenced by him, many of whom played Skinner’s weekly Wednesday Night Science Project at The Colony in Tulsa. Festivalgoers must be 21 or older to enter the venues.

The festival lineup includes the Science Project Band, Mike McClure Band, Red Dirt Rangers, Annie Oakley, Grazzhopper Trio, Desi & Cody, Monica Taylor, Jesse Aycock, Jacob Tovar, Kalyn Fay, Lauren Barth, Sarah Barker Huhn, John Williams, Chris Blevins, Ali Harter, Jared Tyler and more. In its second year, the festival format has changed somewhat to include full bands with special guests later in the evening. The performances will take place at the Venue Shrine, 112 E 18, and Mercury Lounge, 1747 S Boston Ave., in Tulsa.

Advance tickets that allow access to both venues start at $15 and are available at www. tulsashrine.com. They also can be purchased at the door for $10 per venue. A limited number of advance VIP tickets that include a gospel brunch are available for $50. For more information, go to www.reddirtrelieffund.org.
