Man ar­rested in con­nec­tion with shoot­ing death

Po­lice have ar­rested a man on a man­slaugh­ter com­plaint in con­nec­tion with a fa­tal shoot­ing in south­west Ok­la­homa City.

Hunter Ethan Todd, 19, of Ok­la­homa City, has been jailed on com­plaints of man­slaugh­ter, pos­ses­sion of mar­i­juana with in­tent to dis­trib­ute, pos­ses­sion of drug pro­ceeds and pos­ses­sion of a firearm af­ter a for­mer con­vic­tion of a felony.

Kevin Gip­son, 47, of Te­cum­seh, was shot and killed about 2 a.m. Wed­nes­day at 1505 Kinkaid Drive, po­lice said. Po­lice re­port Todd was reck­lessly han­dling a firearm when he ac­ci­den­tally fired it, killing Gip­son. The death was the 66th homi­cide of the year in Ok­la­homa City, po­lice re­port.

Todd was con­victed of know­ingly con­ceal­ing stolen prop­erty in 2016 in Caddo County District Court where he was given a five-year de­ferred sen­tence, ac­cord­ing to Ok­la­homa Supreme Court Net­work on­line records.
