Linemen to compete at ‘rodeo’

PRYOR — Electric linemen from public power utilities throughout Oklahoma will meet Oct. 25-26 for the annual Municipal Electric Systems of Oklahoma Lineworker­s Rodeo and Safety Training event.

The Grand River Dam Authority (GRDA) is hosting this year’s event at the MidAmerica Expo Center, south of Pryor.

About 55 participan­ts are expected to compete in the event, which includes a speed climb, hurtman rescue, and insulator and switch change competitio­ns.

“We’re looking forward to the rodeo and to hosting the Oklahoma public power team,” said Justin Alberty, vice president of corporatio­n communicat­ions for the Grand River Dam Authority. “Not only is this a great chance for friendly competitio­n but also a great opportunit­y for these participan­ts to work together and learn from each other. We’re excited to have it in Pryor.”

Oil and natural gas auction set

More than 180 working interests, overriding royalties and mineral interests in Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas will be up for auction Nov. 7 as part of an oil and natural gas sale.

The properties from U.S. Bankruptcy Court and individual­s will be auctioned beginning at 10 a.m. on Nov. 7 and will be conducted by Oklahoma City-based Dakil Auctioneer­s at 200 NW 114 St. and online at dakil.com.

Blueknight declares cash payout

Blueknight Energy Partners directors have declared a quarterly cash distributi­on of 14.5 cents per common unit and 17.875 cents per preferred unit payable Nov. 14 to unit holders as of Nov. 3.

Magellan OKs distributi­on hike

TULSA — Magellan Midstream Partners LP directors have approved an increase to the partnershi­p’s quarterly distributi­on.

The payout of 90.5 cents per unit is expected Nov. 14 to unit holders as of Nov. 2.

The distributi­on is up 2 percent from the previous quarter and up 8 percent from the third quarter of 2017.
