Two killed in crashes on Oklahoma roads
Two people were killed in crashes on Oklahoma roadways, authorities reported.
Dustin Allen Hoedebeck, 20, Colbert
Hoedebeck and Zachary Glenn Lovelance, 18, of Cartwright, were passengers in a sport utility vehicle driven by Mason Geter, 18, of Cartwright shortly after 2 p.m. Monday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported. Geter was driving east on SH 91 when he went off the right side of the roadway and the SUV overturned a number of times.
All three men were taken to a hospital in Denison, Texas, where Hoedebeck was pronounced dead. Geter was admitted in critical condition. Lovelance was treated and released.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. No one in the SUV wore a seat belt, the patrol reports.
Unidentified woman
About 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the scene after reports of a car in a concrete drainage canal near SW 59 and S Walker Avenue, the Oklahoma City Police Department reported. The woman, who has not been identified, was found in the backseat of the vehicle wearing a seat belt.
An Oklahoma City Fire Department spokesman said the woman was not breathing, but had a pulse, and was taken to a hospital where she later died. The man, who also was not identified, was out of the car when firefighters arrived and taken to a hospital in serious condition.
