Four area teens recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank within the Boy Scouts of America program.
Ben Meyer, 19, of Oklahoma City has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He is a member of Troop 120 chartered to Christ the King Catholic Church in Nichols Hills, under the direction of Scoutmaster Matt Jackson. Ben demonstrated leadership by building signs for the student drop-off area at Christ the King Catholic School.
Nathan Paul Jenkins, 15, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He is a member of Troop 386 chartered to Peace Lutheran Church in Edmond, under the direction of Scoutmaster Keith Swanson. Nathan demonstrated leadership to others in a service project benefiting Peace Lutheran Church where he repainted the fire lanes in the parking lot.
Mason George Piatt, 18, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He is a member of Troop 386 chartered to Peace Lutheran Church in Edmond, under the direction of Scoutmaster Keith Swanson. Mason demonstrated leadership to others in a service project benefiting Peace Lutheran Church where he raised money and organized volunteers to clear debris and plant sod on a barren piece of land.
Joseph Ernest Brady, 17, has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He is a member of Troop 84 chartered to St. David’s Episcopal Church in Oklahoma City, under the direction of Scoutmaster Ernest Brady. Joe demonstrated leadership to others in a service project benefiting Deer Creek High School. Joe designed and constructed a movable cabinet for storage and transport of percussion instruments for the Deer Creek High School Band, of which Joe is a member.
