IAO is marking the spot with auction

-

Works by more than 45 emerging and established artists will be on display as Individual Artists of Oklahoma hosts its 26th Annual Red Dot art auction from 7 to 11 p.m. Nov. 18 at the IAO Gallery, 706 W Sheridan Ave, on Oklahoma City’s historic Film Row. Inspired by the small red stickers often used by galleries to indicate sold artwork, Red Dot offers attendees an opportunity to purchase unique works in a wide-range of media. In addition to showcasing local art, the event supports IAO’s efforts to subsidize artists and their work in Oklahoma.

Founded in 1979 by three poets, Individual Artists of Oklahoma has expanded into a nonprofit organization supporting Oklahoma artists of all disciplines. Artists featured at this year’s event include Allin KHG, Alyson Atchison, Amena Butler, Angela Jessup, Ashlyn Metcalf, Barry Burris, Beatriz Mayorca, Bryan Dahlvang, Christine Aria, Dan Garrett, David Holland, Don Narcomey, Ellen Etzler, Eric Heckert, George Oswalt, Harolyn Long, Jason Cytacki, Jason Wilson, Jeremy Salda, John Wolfe, Joseph Weaver, Kerri Shadid, Lana Lopez, M.
