Date set for Miss Mustang Pageant
MUSTANG — The Miss Mustang Pageant will be at 6 p.m. Feb. 3 at the Bridge Church Venue on State Highway 152.
The pageant is an official Miss America Organization pageant and will consist of evening gown, interview, onstage question, swimsuit and talent portions.
Tickets for 400 guests will be available, and refreshments will be served.
Corporate and individual sponsors will receive an area in the program, onstage recognition and more, depending on the level of 501 (c) 3 tax- deductible contribution made.
Angela Peterson, of Mustang, recently was named as the new executive director of the Miss Mustang Organization and pageant. She has years of experience as a past etiquette instructor, pageant judge and trainer, modeling agent and model. She earned her Bachelor of Science from Texas Christian University and is a member of the Mustang Chamber of Commerce.
The pageant is open to applicants who live in Canadian County, Grady County or Oklahoma County, ages 17-24 years. The winner will compete in the Miss Oklahoma Pageant in June 2018, which is a part of the Miss America Organization. She also will receive scholarships and gifts from the Mustang and Oklahoma City community and a crown. Miss Oklahoma is scheduled to perform at the Miss Mustang pageant.

This year also will feature Miss Mustang Stars, ages 3 to 12, who will meet Miss Oklahoma, walk across the stage with the contestants and be honored as future leaders of Mustang and Oklahoma.
