Love’s offers a free soda for Black Friday shoppers

Customers hitting the road for shopping on Black Friday can refuel with a free 16 oz. coffee, cappuccino or hot tea drink at Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores.

“Black Friday is an extremely busy time for our customers, and we want to give them something that tastes great and re-energizes them,” said Mark Romig, director of merchandis­e for Love’s.

Customers can access a bar code for their free 16 oz. drink at Love’s official Facebook, Twitter or Instagram pages from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Friday. Customers may redeem one coupon per transactio­n, store officials said.

Baskin-Robbins, Dunkin’ to open two combo stores in OKC area

Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins are opening two dual-brand stores in the Oklahoma City area market, the companies have announced.

A Dunkin’ Donuts/Baskin-Robbins store will open Monday in Moore at 630 SW 4th, and another will open in Midwest City at 2301 S Douglas Blvd. on Dec. 20.

Dunkin’ Donuts is offering customers at all of its Oklahoma City locations a free medium hot or iced coffee during the first week of January to celebrate, store officials said.

“We are proud to serve the people who live and work in these communitie­s, and look forward to becoming a popular destinatio­n and an everyday routine for guests looking for high-quality coffee, snacks and ice cream treats delivered fast in a friendly environmen­t and at an affordable price,” said Misha Goli, the franchisee for the new restaurant­s.

The new locations will be open 24 hours daily.

Casino plans blood drive

POCASSET — SaltCreek Casino will host a blood drive for the Oklahoma Blood Institute on Monday, it’s announced.

Officials said that patrons who successful­ly donate will receive $10 in bonus play for use at the casino, plus a commemorat­ive holiday-themed T-shirt.

“We are humbled and appreciati­ve that SaltCreek Casino has again chosen to partner with the Oklahoma Blood Institute,” said John Armitage, the institute’s president and CEO.

The Oklahoma Blood Institute, which serves more than 160 hospitals and other medical facilities in the state, relies on about 1,200 blood donors each day to meet the need.

Boardroom opens 2nd location

A second Boardroom Salon for Men has opened in Oklahoma City at 5846 N Classen Blvd. in the Classen Curve shopping center, company officials have said.

The operation is designed to be a comfortabl­e, masculine, 1920s country club-inspired salon where customers can get haircuts, shaves and other salon services.

Each salon features dark wood paneling, a relaxing lounge with oversized leather chairs, a pool table and a great vibe, officials said.

Zoes creates ‘Goodness Fund’ to help out employees

Zoes Kitchen has launched a charitable fund to help its team members when they are dealing with unforeseen emergencie­s.

“As a people-first company, we strive to put ourselves in our team members’ shoes, listen to their needs, and add value to their lives,” said Kevin Miles, CEO and President of Zoes Kitchen. “The purpose of The Goodness Fund is to support our company’s commitment to a people-first culture, while giving our team members an opportunit­y to experience delivering goodness firsthand during times that they need it the most.”

The company made a donation to the fund to get it started. Team member’s donations are voluntary; all current employees can seek assistance from the fund whether they’ve contribute­d or not, Miles said.
