Barbara Ann Malaska

Barbara Ann Malaska was born to John and Mary Malaska on Oct. 31, 1937 in OKC. Following her Associate's Degree in Business, she had an exemplary career spanning over thirty years, at what was originally The First National Bank of OKC, and upon her retirement she was an Officer in the Trust Dept. She was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Altar Society, and in addition, was involved in many other activities of the parish. Barbara was an avid animal lover, most recently shown by her adoption of her cats, especially her favorite, Alfie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother John, and her nephew Luke Malaska. She is survived by her two loving brothers and their families, Richard and Mary Malaska with daughters Monika Malaska-Stepniewski, husband Chris and their children Rylie and Gage, Michelle Malaska-Willander and her husband Aaron, and Mackenzie Malaska-Taylor and her husband Brian; and Jim and Kate Malaska, with their son Luke’s children, Madison and Brytton Malaska, daughters Amber Malaska-Redden and her husband Robert, with their daughters Ruby and River, and Katy Malaska-Haynes and her husband Austin.

The Wake Service will be on Fri., Dec. 8th, at 7 PM at Smith & Kernke, N. May Ave. location, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Francis on Sat., Dec. 9th, at 11 AM. Barbara left her family and friends on Dec. 2, 2017.
