OKC school district suspends teacher
Oklahoma City Public Schools on Thursday suspended a teacher at Northwest Classen High School while the district investigates unspecified allegations.
Gregory Mills was suspended with pay. He is a science teacher at the school, 2801 NW 27, officials said.
“On Wednesday, December 6, 2017, Oklahoma City Public Schools (OKCPS) was made aware of possible violations of board policy involving a teacher at NW Classen,” spokeswoman Courtney Morton said in a statement.
“This situation is now being investigated by OKCPS. As is routine in these situations, the teacher has been placed on Administrative Leave pending the result of the investigation. Because this is a personnel issue, we cannot provide any further comment at this time.”
Mills is the second district employee to be suspended this week while the district investigates allegations of wrongdoing.
On Monday, Director of Employee Engagement Shane Keenan was suspended with pay while the district investigates undisclosed allegations.
Keenan serves as a member of the district’s human resources leadership team and is responsible for leading and directing the employee relations, accreditation, onboarding and employee training and development functions of the HR Department.
