It’s a new year and a new slate of titles for executive officers at the EnLink Midstream companies.

Barry E. Davis has been named executive chairman at EnLink Midstream LLC and its master limited partnership EnLink Midstream Partners LP, the companies said Wednesday.

“I look forward to continuing to serve EnLink as executive chairman, guiding EnLInk’s longterm strategy while working closely with Mike (Garberding) and the rest of our outstanding leadership team,” Davis said in a statement. “I remain fully engaged and will spend the majority of my time dedicated to EnLink.”

Davis has been chairman and CEO since the EnLink companies were created in 2014 in a merger of the assets of Oklahoma City-based Devon Energy Corp. and Dallas-based Crosstex Energy. Davis previously was CEO at Crosstex.

EnLink is based in Dallas, but Devon holds a 64 percent general partner interest in EnLink Midstream LLC and a 25 percent interest in EnLink Midstream Partners LP.

Davis is succeeded as president and CEO by Michael J. Garberding, who has served as EnLink’s chief financial officer since 2016. Garberding has more than 25 years of leadership experience in the energy industry and has held executive-level positions at EnLink and its predecessors since 2008.

“I am honored that Barry and the boards have elected me as CEO, and I look forward to guiding EnLink toward further growth and success in my new position,” Garberding said in a statement.

Eric D. Batchelder has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer. Batchelder previously was managing director of energy investment banking at RBC Capital Markets. He has more than 15 years of financial leadership experience.

“I have known Eric for 15 years, and he has played a crucial role in advising EnLink during several key acquisitions,” Garberding said. “He has a strong understanding of our financial strategy, along with an unparalleled knowledge of the midstream sector. Eric’s years of capital market experience will be valuable to our ongoing strategic and financial initiatives at EnLink, and we look forward to accomplishing great things together.”

EnLink also has named R. Alan Marcum as a director for both EnLink companies. Marcum has been executive vice president for administration at Devon since 2008.

Also on Wednesday, EnLink said Steve J. Hoppe has resigned as executive vice president and president of the Gas Business Unit and is leaving the company to pursue other interests.

“We are thanking to Steve for his service to EnLink and wish him success in his future endeavors,” Garberding said.
