Sooners rout Jayhawks

Oklahoma bounced back from its loss to Oklahoma State with a decisive 97-64 victory against Kansas on Wednesday at Lloyd Noble Center.

NORMAN — Ana Llanusa scored 18 points, Gabbi Ortiz and Shaina Pellington each finished with 17 points and Oklahoma cruised to a 97-64 victory against Kansas at Lloyd Noble Center on Wednesday night.

The Sooners (10-10, 5-4 Big 12) led 31-12 by the end of the first quarter and were never threatened by the Jayhawks (11-9, 2-7).

It was one of OU's best offensive performanc­es this season.

The Sooners finished the game with a season-high .583 field-goal percentage and were especially impressive from 3-point range.

Led by Ortiz, who was 5-of-6 from beyond the arc, the Sooners posted a season-high .667 3-point percentage.

Pellington scored in double figures for the 12th time this year and added three assists.

Vionise Pierre-Louis finished in double figures for the seventh-straight game, scoring 11 of her 13 points in the second half.

Maddie Manning hit three treys and finished with 11 points, while LaNesia Williams chipped in 10 points and three assists off of the bench.

OU’s 97 points tied a school record for the most points scored against a Big 12 opponent in school history (97, vs. TCU, 2015).
