Kansas State promotes receivers coach to OC

- FROM WIRE REPORTS

Kansas State coach Bill Snyder promoted Andre Coleman to offensive coordinator on Wednesday, and made Charlie Dickey and Collin Klein co-coordinators in a revamped coaching staff structure.

Coleman played wide receiver for Snyder in the early 1990s and has tutored the Wildcats' receivers the past five years. He takes over for Dana Dimel, who left to become head coach at UTEP. Dickey, the Wildcats' offensive line coach, will coordinate the running game while Klein, a former quarterback at Kansas State and Heisman Trophy finalist in 2012, will handle the passing game along with his role as quarterbacks coach.

Snyder sounded unconcerned in a statement that he has essentially three coordinators, pointing out their long histories with the program and "how well these three have worked together."

Florida allows four suspended players to rejoin team activities

Running back Jordan Scarlett and three other Florida players suspended last season amid felony fraud charges have rejoined team activities.

School officials confirmed the return of the players Tuesday to The Associated Press. Receiver Rick Wells and linebackers James Houston and Ventrell Miller also are enrolled in school and expected to take part in team workouts Wednesday.

A fifth player, defensive lineman Keivonnis Davis ,is enrolled but is recovering from injuries sustained in a scooter accident last fall.

Those five players and two others — receiver Antonio Callaway and defensive lineman Richerd Desir-Jones — entered a pretrial intervention program in late October that could result in the dismissal of felony credit card fraud charges.

The players needed to make restitution and comply with probation protocols over a 12-month period to get the charges dropped without any legal findings.
