Edmond’s city office hours to change

EDMOND — The city of Edmond will be changing office hours for many of its city department­s beginning Monday.

The new weekly office hours will be: 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays; and 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Fridays.

The change will impact many city department­s including: Building and Fire Code Services; Emergency Management; Engineerin­g; Facility Management; Financial Services; Human Resources; Informatio­n Technology; Planning; Public Safety Communicat­ions; Public Works Administra­tion; and Utility Customer Service.

Also, the following department­s will extend hours on Mondays through Thursdays, but also stay open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays: City Clerk; City Manager; and Marketing and Public Relations.

By extending business hours Mondays through Thursdays, the city of Edmond is striving to improve flexibilit­y for residents who were previously unable to visit during traditiona­l business hours, a news release states.
