With springtime just around the corner, the city of Midwest City is reminding residents of numerous services available related to property cleanup and maintenance through its Go Clean Go Green campaign.

“Through these services, we are striving to provide easy and effective ways to assist residents with proper disposal of property,” City Manager Guy Henson said.

Services available include:

Residents may request the sanitation department send trucks to their homes to pick up items that won’t fit or are not allowed in either the recycling or sanitation carts, such as yard waste and household items. Examples of items accepted through this service include, but are not limited to: Furniture, brush, household items, etc. For reservations, call 739-1063 by 5 p.m. Mondays to arrange for pickup. No appointment is necessary for yard waste disposal, which may be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday, except on holidays. All residents dropping off material at the compost facility must bring their most recent Midwest City utility bill and current driver’s license as proof of residency.
